Second Bloom | Red Dried Rose Petals, Set of 5 Boxes

Second Bloom is a decorative material made from undyed red roses. Place a few petals beside jewellery, scatter them in a tray, or combine their different shapes in a petal collage. Their natural colour and texture add detail to small photographs and displays.

What you receive

• Contents:red dried rose petals in five small black boxes. This is loose petal material, rather than bouquets or whole flower heads.
• Internal box dimensions:9 × 6 × 4 cm per box, measured inside the space that holds the petals.
• Quantity guide:approximately the equivalent of 2–3 roses per box. Petal count and bulk vary with the flowers.

The open-box, spread-out and close-up photos show one box or its contents as a reference. The photo of five closed boxes shows the set packaging. You receive five boxes. The spread-out photo shows the contents of one box arranged within an area of approximately 15 × 15 cm. This is an example arrangement, rather than a promise to cover that area without gaps. Weight and petal count are not fixed.

Ways to use the petals

• Jewellery and small-product photography:place a few petals beside the subject for red colour and natural texture.
• Small displays:arrange them in a tray or a case with enough depth for their curved shape.
• Petal collage:combine different petal sizes in a small artwork. Test a little material with your chosen adhesive and surface first.

We sell the petals as a set of five boxes so they can be shipped together to spread the delivery cost. Take out what you need, one box at a time. Individual boxes are not sold separately. Keep the rest in a dry place.

Photography props, backing cards, adhesives and display cases are not included. This is a petal material set.

Another use for roses from bouquet making

Some roses lose their flower shape while we make bouquets. We use their petals as material for decoration and photography, giving usable parts another purpose.

The petals vary in size and shape and include natural curves, chipped edges and small fragments. Red and wine tones may have yellow-brown areas and uneven colour. They are suited to projects that can accommodate this variation.

Questions

Are these pressed petals?

No. These are dried rose petals with natural curves and thickness.

Will the colour and shapes match the photos?

The photos are a guide to quantity and appearance. Natural colour, shape and size vary, and the colour changes over time.

Can I use them in resin or candles?

We have not tested the finish of these petals in resin. If you intend to embed them, test a small amount first, including for colour changes. Avoid using them in candles that will be lit.

Handling and storage

For decoration and photography only. Do not use in food, drinks or baths. Keep away from flames, direct sunlight, heat and humidity, and store in a dry place.

Dried petals are fragile: shipping and handling may cause chipped edges or small fragments. Undyed petals can still transfer colour through moisture or friction. Test contact with fabric, paper and display items in an inconspicuous area, and use a protective liner where needed.
